Lode tennis club was established in 1996 to provide all year round tennis facilities for the residents of the parish of Lode and Longmeadow.
It has one court, which was gifted to the parish by Lord Fairhaven. The parish council set up the club, which is now responsible for
the management and upkeep of the court. At the AGM held at the end of each year, the club members elect a chairman, treasurer and committee
members who then run the club for the following year.
The (hard) court is open to play by members at any time, and there is no charge apart from the one off membership fee payable annually.
Members may also invite guests to play on payment of a small fee.
